03 Nov 2021
On Wednesday 3 November 2021, the symbolic ceremony to lay the first stone of the Cité internationale Université de Toulouse took place in Toulouse, in the presence of Philippe Raimbault, President of Université de Toulouse, Alain Carré, President of La Cité Jardins, Bruno Arcadipane, President of Action Logement and representatives of the State, the Occitanie Region, the Departmental Council and Toulouse Métropole. On the historic site of the Paul Sabatier laboratory, now restored to its former glory, this ceremony marked the final stage of a large-scale project which will see the emergence of a city-oriented venue entirely dedicated to hosting students and scientists in the centre of Toulouse.
A tailor-made project carried out by La Cité Jardins & the Université de Toulouse , with the ambition of becoming a key site in the Toulouse metropolis.
The aim of this project is first and foremost to promote Toulouse’s international appeal to welcome the higher education scientific community in the best possible conditions.
